For just $7, you can sponsor an oyster in Maui Nui Marine Resource Councilสปs oyster project in Mฤสปalaea Bay — and (hereสปs the best part) that oyster will filter sediment and pollutants out of 40 to 60 gallons of ocean water EVERY DAY throughout its lifetime.
The filtering that your adopted oyster will do will benefit the coral reefs in Mฤสปalaea Bay, which need clear, clean ocean water to feed and reproduce. Clear, clean water is also important to all in our community who enjoy surfing, paddling, swimming, boating and fishing in Mฤสปalaea Bay.
Your donation will support Maui Nui Marine Resource Councilสปs work to improve ocean water quality in Mฤสปalaea Bay through our use of caged oysters and our work in the adjoining Pohekea watershed to prevent wildfires that lead to sediment runoff into the ocean. Youสปll also help us pay for new security equipment to keep our oyster cages safe.
